M<\/span>y love for photography was gifted to me by my late father, Ray. He was my inspiration, the one who placed my very first camera \u2014 a Canon T-70 \u2014 into my hands. From the moment I started experimenting with it, I was hooked. As a kid, I was always out taking photos. I\u2019ll admit, there were far more failures than successes, but I loved the process \u2014 capturing the image, developing it, studying what I\u2019d made, figuring out how to improve, and later, looking back with nostalgia. One of my fondest childhood memories is sitting with my parents, sifting through snapshots kept in an old shoebox.<\/p>\n

For reasons I still can\u2019t explain, I stopped. And I didn\u2019t pick up a camera seriously again until 2012. Even then, it took another three years before I truly committed. In 2015, I joined the Guild of Photographers and decided to put my work up against some of the best in the industry to see how I measured up.<\/p>\n

Over the years, I\u2019ve turned my hand to almost every genre of photography \u2014 often because of client requests rather than my own direction. But each challenge pushed me to grow. To deliver what my clients needed, I had to adapt, travelling across the UK to learn from incredible photographers and mentors. I firmly believe that you never stop learning in photography; there\u2019s always something new to discover. The day I stop learning will be the day I put down my camera for good.<\/p>\n

The hard work and training paid off. I earned my LSWPP qualification with the SWPP, my Craftsman and Master Craftsman titles with the Guild of Photographers, and most proudly, I have achieved a Fellowship with the SWPP \u2014 one of the highest recognitions in the photographic industry. I\u2019m also an active member of the SWPP International Judging Team, where I have the privilege of helping to assess and celebrate incredible work from photographers worldwide.<\/p>\n

Giving back to the photographic community is something I truly value. Whether it\u2019s mentoring, judging, or sharing my experiences, I love supporting others on their own creative journeys.<\/p>\n

What I\u2019ve discovered after years of shooting for others and covering so many genres is this: I feed off the positive energy of the projects I\u2019m involved in. That energy \u2014 whether from a live event, a creative collaboration, or a one-of-a-kind moment \u2014 is what keeps me inspired to keep creating.<\/p>\n

I<\/span><\/span>believe that live events are an art form worth celebrating. From the raw energy of a band mid-performance to the fleeting, unrepeatable moments that define a festival, event photography is about capturing the atmosphere, the emotion, and the stories unfolding in real time. I thrive on the challenge this genre offers \u2014 from scouting the perfect vantage point to collaborating with organisers, performers, and other creatives to bring the event\u2019s story to life.<\/p>\n

Over the years, I\u2019ve been fortunate to work at some incredible events, capturing moments that have since become treasured memories for those involved. Many of the talented people I\u2019ve met along the way are now great friends, and together we\u2019ve created images that I\u2019m proud to showcase here.<\/p>\n

I<\/span> believe that cosplay is an art form to be celebrated. I truly believe that epic cosplays are about bringing your favourite fantasy characters to life and I love the challenge that this genre gives me, from scouting locations to working with other creatives , this genre of photography drives my passion.<\/span><\/p>\n

L<\/span>andscape photography allows you to connect with the environment on your own terms, forcing these grand vistas into your vision. I’m most at home when I\u2019m in the middle of nowhere, chasing the ever-changing light and being surrounded by nature.<\/p>\n

The peace and tranquillity you get from working in a remote part of the UK with no-one around you, is second to none. Being able to capture what you see,\u00a0 it is an truly amazing feeling.<\/p>\n

Over time you end up discovering places that have been right in front of your eyes for years, but you never noticed their beauty before. Other times this means exploring new places and getting out on a hike or nature walk. Even if I don\u2019t come back with images, I still feel positive for just being out and my head always feels clearer after enjoying what our amazing country provides.<\/p>\n

I absolutely love being a landscape photographer, it gives me the freedom to capture the world as I see it. Sharing my vision with others and watching their reaction, there is no greater feeling than inspiring positivity.<\/p>\n
